Do you offer sessions only via telehealth?
Yes, I currently provide therapy exclusively through telehealth. You can access your session from most phones, tablets, or computers. I suggest finding a quiet and private space with a strong Wi-Fi connection to complete your session.
Are in-person sessions better than telehealth?
No, not necessarily. While some clients may benefit from in-person sessions (e.g., young children, clients experiencing psychosis), research shows telehealth services are as effective as in-person sessions to treat anxiety, depression, and stress.
Telehealth also offers benefits over in-person sessions, such as increased access to services, decreased time for sessions, and flexibility.
What are your hours?
How long is a typical session?
What is your fee?
Do you accept insurance?
I don’t accept insurance; however, I’m happy to offer you a superbill to send to your insurance company for reimbursement. This process allows me more time to spend preparing for sessions with you instead of hanging on the phone with insurance companies.
*Please note that I cannot offer superbills to those under Medicaid insurance.
How do I get started?
Feel free to send in the contact form on the website, which comes directly to me, or you can call or text me at (970) 331-0739.
I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation during which I will answer questions you have, and we can determine whether we’re a good fit for one another.
Let’s find a time that works for you!
What is your cancellation policy?
Since I have blocked out that spot for you, I ask that you give me the full 24-hours notice should you need to cancel your session.
If you do not provide the full 24-hours notice, you will incur a charge for the full session fee.
What are your areas of specialty?
Who benefits from therapy?
Life is hard! Things happen. Stress takes its toll. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
So, everyone can benefit from therapy. Therapy helps you sort through the difficult emotions, thoughts and experiences.
Do you need a space to be heard and understood without judgment?
Or maybe you’re seeking clarity, peace of mind and direction.
Whatever the reason, you can really benefit from therapy.
How often will I need to come to therapy?
That’s totally up to you! At the beginning of therapy, we’ll cover a lot of ground, and I recommend most people start by coming in weekly.
As therapy progresses, most people move to every other week. Let’s figure out together what works best for you!
Does anyone cry in front of you?
I see people experience a multitude of emotions, including crying.
Emotions are perfectly natural! They make us human, and I’m no exception to that rule!
No matter what emotion you experience in the room, I appreciate your vulnerability and willingness to explore.
How would you describe yourself as a therapist?
What’s your approach?
My approach is highly relational because I know our work together rests on the foundation of a strong, solid therapeutic relationship built on trust.
I always strive to meet you where you are in your struggles and goals for therapy. I’ll provide you with support, guidance, problem-solving and skill-building.
I’ll also challenge those negative thoughts and beliefs holding you back and trapping you in a place that doesn’t work for you anymore.
Our work will help you to make the changes you need and want in your life right now.
Have you been in therapy yourself?
Yes, I know what it’s like to sit on the couch, too. There is no shame in taking care of your mental health.
My experience has made me a better person and a better therapist.
