Adolescent Therapy

Being a teenager was supposed to be fun.

But it’s turning out to be a lot harder than you expected!

You want to be independent – you want them to treat you as an adult. At the same time, you’re facing some of the most stressful stages of your life and could use some guidance on how to move forward.

And living up to the high expectations you put on yourself or feel from parents, teachers, or coaches just adds to all your other stress.

Who – and what – are you supposed to be?

Anxiety keeps telling you that you’re not “good enough.” But what does that even mean?

Social media tells you that you “should” be “perfect,” but every time you log on and look at what other people are posting, that feels impossible – and you feel unworthy.

Why can’t you just be normal? Fit in? Feel safe?

Nobody gets it – nobody really understands. And it’s lonely.

Your Parents

You’ve tried everything.

As a parent, it certainly feels like you have tried everything you can to help your teen feel better.

Some days, you’re their favorite person – while other days, they can’t even stand you.

And you’re out of strategies. What you’ve tried in the past isn’t working anymore, and you worry: “Am I doing the right thing?”

You let them know you’re there to talk, ask questions about school, get to know their friends, and watch their social media accounts.

But it’s all so exhausting – you’re not getting anywhere. And it’s lonely.

Both of You

You don’t have to go it alone anymore.

I can help. I’ll create a safe space for your teen to process these uncomfortable emotions and learn healthy skills to deal with the stresses of life.

Your teen will learn how to manage distress, become more mindful of their behaviors, gain insight into their past, and set goals for the future! They’ll learn how to communicate with you and share their emotional experiences effectively.

You’ll grow closer to one another again and move through this stage of life together – as a team.

You’re ready for change!

Deep down, you know it can be better than this. And I can help you find a way!

Therapy can give you a safe, nonjudgmental space to talk about everything that’s going on in your life.

My goal is to help you learn skills to manage everything on your plate, improve your relationships, and feel more confident in yourself. You don’t have to do this by yourself; I’m here to help!
